A Seed of Inspiration
There’s nothing quite like the thrill of building something from the ground up. Here at Find Your Feet Fiji, it has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to share some of the milestones with you.
It all started with a friend of mine commenting that I was always getting phone calls and text requests asking for things like
* My partner has fallen down the stairs, where can I get a set of crutches?
* My child is going on school camp, where can I buy a sleeping bag?
* A film is being shot on the coral coast, do you know anyone who can advise us if a cave is safe to film in?
I knew the answers and suggestions for these and many more questions. My friend explained (patiently!!) that I was giving away my intellectual property and that this should be a business. I saw a need to help people adjust to living in Fiji and knew I could create something truly special.
Planting the Seeds of Success
Those early days were filled with lots of time spent in government offices getting registered, setting up bank details etc. Through sheer determination and a commitment to providing a professional and pleasant service, I persevered.
Growth, Blossoming & Pivoting
The pandemic hit my business hard, no one was moving to Fiji and if they did they couldn’t engage me for an orientation. I started getting phone calls from previous clients who were stuck outside Fiji and wouldn’t be coming back.
Siobhan, can you pack up my house and send over my dog and cat please?
Of course I can help with that!
Since starting Find Your Feet Fiji has achieved some amazing things, including:
- Helped over 300 clients with their moves to Fiji
- Expanded into Pet Transport
- Started working with people who are leaving Fiji
- Receiving 5-star reviews on Facebook and Google Business
But Success is More Than Numbers
While I am thrilled with these achievements, the true measure of success lies in the positive impact the business has had. It’s about:
- Exceeding customer expectations and building trust
- Helping people find their feet after an international move, finding their community
- Giving back through charitable initiatives like IWA and animal organisations
I haven’t advertised my business. Instead, I have relied on word of mouth and successful moves. This is the way The Pacific works, being relatable and reliable is essential. The reviews I’ve had are outstanding. 100% recommended on Facebook.

Google: Find Your Feet Fiji
I was finding Facebook reviews unreliable, they kept disappearing and the public access wasn’t great for everyone. So I’ve started requesting reviews on my Google Business page instead. In just over a year I have just received my 50th 5 Star review. I think that speaks for itself.
Thank you
Thank you to all the people who have let me into their lives, shared their journey so far and allowed me to help them find their feet in Fiji. It is different for everyone, and it is a vulnerable time to go through.
Thank you to everyone who has left a review, it really helps people find my service.
